AAWR Announces Opening of Faces and Places

The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve announces the opening of its exhibition, Faces and Places: The Photographic Art of Herbert Ascherman, Jr. on Friday, February 27, 2009. The show runs through April 3, 2009. The opening reception, free and open to the public, will be on Friday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Ascherman, a well known Cleveland photographer, will give an artist’s talk at 6:30 p.m. at the reception during which complimentary refreshments will be served.

The Faces and Places exhibition takes viewers on a photographic journey of Herbert’s travels and also documents his project to capture the essences of artists associated with The Archived Artists of the Western Reserve .

The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from noon to 4 pm. The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is located at 1834 East 123rd Street in University Circle , right off Euclid Avenue and across from Lakeview Cemetery . Free parking is available in the lot in front of the building and all along E. 123rd Street .
